Great Travel Moment It's an amazing wonder...the Grand Canyon. My cousin & I planned an adventure. She wanted to see San Francisco & the Napa Valley. I wanted to see Sedona & the Grand Canyon. We did it all, from San Francisco to Sausalito to Sonoma where we had massages at the Fairmont. We toured wine country, experienced Sedona (I'll never forget the sights as we rounded the bend in the road and the red rock formations appeared). It was magnificent. We drove off the beaten path to the Grand Canyon, and the roads were a little intimidating. The rest stop was interesting, offering us a clivus multrum restroom. It's an experience...especially high up on the mountain. The Grand Canyon...such magnificence! On the last day of our trip, we drove to the Boulders in Carefree, Arizona. It was the grand finale of an even grander trip. I will never forget those days we spent together and the wonderous things we saw. |

Great narrative, great picture! You framed it perfectly, to include variety of colors - trees and foreground. 5*.

Thanks for the comment about my snake picture. That wasn't me. I'd never, ever go near a snake. I just took a picture of a stranger from a safe distance.

5 stars. I saw the grand canyon when i was a child for about 3-1/2 seconds. My father is afraid of heights and unfortunately, he was driving! I still remember it though as I looked out the back seat window!!!!

An excellent photo, Cindy. It is hard to capture the colors and clarity of the canyon that is seen in this shot. You have to catch the lighting just right. It sounds like you had a terrific adventure. I get the feeling it was somewhat like the adventure my sister and I had across Southern Europe a few years ago. What wonderful memories!! 5 stars for the photo and its composition.
