Great Travel Moment

Botswana, Kalahari Desert, near Jack's Camp. I didn't think I'd care about seeing meerkats. Too darned "cute" for my tastes. But oh, how they charmed me. I sat down quietly close to where they were foraging for bugs and scorpions. They got closer and closer. And suddenly, they all stood up to take notice of a nearby predator (I couldn't see anything, but they have amazing eyesight). Eventually, a few even climbed up into my lap! How can you not grin from ear to ear when you see them?
