Great Travel Moment My husband and I went to Yosemite for the long Independence Day weekend in 2006. We had a wonderful time hiking and exploring the Park, running around in fields with our dog, and of course photographing the beautiful waterfalls. While hiking to the lower Yosemite falls the trees framed this photo so wonderfully. A short time later, we were enjoying the roar of the falls, and feeling the cool spray of the water on our warm faces, a welcome distraction from the hot summer day. We sat at the foot of the falls on a bench for a long time, watching the rainbows dance in the mist, and sharing stories with other park visitors from around the world. This trip holds such fond memories, and this photo speaks to not only the power, but also the serenity of the nature found here in our own back yard. |
