Great Travel Moment Traveling through Peru, it's obvious the Native Q'ero people are poor by most standards. However, also apparent is how rich they are in culture and spirit. This photo, shot in the highlands above Cusco, shows how a Q'ero baby rides in a tightly tied bundle as Mom goes about her daily chores and travels. For me, it captures a personally touching moment and serves as a reminder of the universal and timeless love between mother and child. During my four weeks in Peru, I never saw a Q'ero baby crying or a young child that wasn't being held and nurtured. |
