Great Travel Moment There we were, somewhere around 13,000 feet, about to make the last push up the mountain. That's Dad and I in the middle (he's the tall guy in the back and I'm to the left of him in the photo). We were just about to climb the last 1,000 feet to the top of Dead Woman's Pass and then on to Machu Picchu from there. This was our big accomplishment. A dream of ours that we were finally able to experience. We had left the daily grind and were making a memory that will remain with us forever. There are few things in life as unforgettable as a father and daughter bonding over one of the most grueling and phisically challenging hikes we have ever experienced. When you finally make it to the end of the trail, your thoughts become clear and you think, "Man, I'm really out of shape." |
