Great Travel Moment we traveled the amazon on a small boat and visited village after village to provide medical assistance, teach about sanitation, as well as play with the village children. the children took me back to childhood and the simplicities that make a child smile. this specific shot was taken in a split second as i crouched down in the water to get on this boys level. he was working to catch piranha to take home for a family meal. after i shot this image, this boy came up to me smiling and offered to take me in his boat across the river. it touched me how inviting and appreciative these people are of anyone coming into their community to help their families. |
