Great Travel Moment

It was my second trip to Paris and Richard's first. We'd been together for a couple of years, and Paris is a dream city for both of us. We'd just come from Montmarte, and as we got off the Metro dusk was falling. On a whim, we decided to go to Pont d'Alma to see the impromptu Diana memorial. On the way, we were trying to set up a shot of us and the bedazzled Tower with the delayed function on our camera. A cute citoyen walked up and asked if we'd like him to take our picture. We readily agreed, and he took this shot, handed us our camera, and retreated into the night. This picture so wonderfully captures the light that makes Paris magical, the random kindnesses that make it surprising, and the joy of being together and in love.
