Great Travel Moment Last winter, my fiancée and I traveled to the Galapagos Islands and the trip touched us in many ways. We were on the island of Plazas when I took this shot and it was our first encounter with the Galapagos sea lions. They were frolicking and swimming as if we weren't there. To see animals so close up was an amazing experience. It was fascinating to learn about all of the species, especially those only found on the islands. After I took this picture, the sea lion in it looked at me with his huge eyes and I melted. I love the colours in the picture. Each time I look at it, I can feel the sunlight on my shoulders and I remember how amazing that trip was. It makes me thankful that places such as the Galapagos exist and it makes me passionate about protecting them. |
