Great Travel Moment

As I approached the end of my second university degree, I was feeling restless. Six years in a classroom will do that to you! So, when my university offered me the opportunity to spend my final semester volunteering in Mexico, I jumped at the opportunity to visit a new country- and have the entire month of January free! I decided to take full advantage of my free month and do something I'd always wanted to do (and even wrote about in my entry for the 2007 Dream Trip Contest)- learn to scuba dive! I packed my bags and headed to Roatan, Honduras, where I put my fears aside and finally learned what really happens forty feet below the water's surface! This is a photo of Half Moon Bay, where we did most of our confined water dives and where the sunset is beautiful every night, without fail.
