Great Travel Moment

We had been traveling in Samburu and my son, Teddy, became obsessed with elephants. He was given the "trunk" and refused to remove it for nearly a week, except to eat. I love this photograph because it brings together children that are so different in terms of culture and background and education. And yet, it is their tolerance that is so noticeable. My son's quirky costume elicited almost no response from the other children. They all simply accepted each other.
