Great Travel Moment The first place my husband and I ever went scuba diving, Bonaire. We were spoiled from the start. I call it aquarium diving. No large predators, no current, no cattle boats filled with novice divers. Just pristine reefs, thanks to the precedent-setting local govenment that created the first real marine preserves. And, the easiest access in the world. Just pick up your tanks at a drive-through dive shop, drive along the perimeter road to a yellow painted rock, don your gear, wade into the water and drop into a perfect reef world of colorful fish and amazing coral. After the dive, go to the small strip of sand called Pink Beach and float in the gentle waves. |
