Great Travel Moment This photo was taken after a I had come back to my boat from a snorkel at the Caves on Norman Island of the British Virgin Islands. Although I have been to the Caves several times, this was my first time making it all the way back into the largest cave and surfacing on the tiny bit of sand that is at the end. The cave was dark and creepy, with eels swimming so close I tried to just keep calm and make it. When I made it out, I was so happy to not have been bitten by something slimy that, to me, it felt like the fish were happy to see that I made it too! When I got out of the water and back on my catamaran the fish were still flipping all over themselves. I like to think that they were welcoming me back to the sunny part of the Caribbean. |
