Great Travel Moment

The hills sure came alive for me when I went to Salzburg in September 2006! I simply fell in love with the entire feel, smell, aura, and look of Salzburg. Does it have something to do with the movie The Sound of Music which was one of my favorite films as a child (and still is)? Yes, I would imagine it does. But, it also has to do with the atmosphere around this little gem of the world. It seems like time has been kind to Salzburg...progress has not gotten the best of it. There are no Starbucks and McDonalds on every corner. The city has a small village feel, while being a decent-size town, usually teeming with tourists. Basically, Salzburg is a city trapped in the 21st Century but able to transport any visitor to whichever time, place, or memory he/she would like to go.
