Great Travel Moment

It was our last safari. We had seen so much already in our travels but I was to be surprised once more! Our guide who was a fairly energetic fellow decided to get out of our truck in order to "find us some lions!". I have to admit I was fairly anxious as he disappeared into the woods for in upwards of 10 minutes, leaving my friends and I alone in an open air truck, but when he finally returned he lived up to his promise. A family of 6 young lions were waking from a day of rest and were getting ready for the night. Our crazy guide had walked within 10m of these predators and brought the truck to a stop almost right in front! I have to admit, I had been in Africa for 2 months already but this felt a little too close for comfort since these guys were obviously hungry and ready for action! The hairs on my neck were up for the entire encounter, it was the closest I'd been to feeling like potential prey!
