Great Travel Moment This special place is called Barra de Potosí. Barra de Potosi is a stretch of clean and isolated beach interrupted only by the birds and fish and is one of the last original Mexican villages with about 500 people. Here there are no bars, disco's or shopping markets. Life here is still at the basics. This village has "Enramadas" (palm leafed covered restaurants) on the beach, where you can relax in a hammock while enjoying a cold beverage and eating really good daily caught fresh fish. They offer kayaking in the bay or in the lagoon. You can also take a private boat tour up the coconut tree lined lagoon (jungle). Barra de Potosis' tranquillity and the fact that you are away from the crowds, is what drew me to this very special place. A place I will never forget and will return to again. |
