Great Travel Moment

Wild animals and mountains drew my husband and I to this Jeep Jamboree at the YO Ranch, in the wilderness south of San Antonio, Texas. After we checked into the headquarters at the ranch, we traveled in our Jeep cross-country up and down hills so treacherous that I feared we would never see the other side of them or camp again. We viewed wild game that we would have expected to see in Africa--not Texas. We saw giraffes, an Ostrich sitting on her eggs, wild hyenas, and so many types of deer and antelope that I lost count. We returned each evening to the bunkhouse and ate a meal cooked outside on huge grills. We talked over the day with other Jeepers, reliving our excitement of the day. It was the most exciting three-day weekend we ever spent.
