Great Travel Moment Last year I travelled to Cambodia. One of the highlights of my trip was the temple compound at Angkor Wat. I love going to ancient temple sites and Angkor did not disappoint. It is simply breathtaking. The Angkor Wat temples are dedicated to the Hindu God Vishu. Carved into the walls are the ancient stories of good versus evil, Gods versus demons, the different wars that took place so many centuries ago, and here still standing are the temples a testament to the people who constructed them so long ago. The sense of peace and serenity surrounds you when you go to the temple site. I took this picture when I was leaving Angkor Wat, saying goodbye and savoring that last look at the temple reflected in the water. Whenever I look at my photo I still feel that sense of peace and tranquility and that is no small feat living in hectic NYC |
