Great Travel Moment

The prayer robes occur to me as leaves and petals of ancient plants and the monks who are missing from but whose spirit suffuses the beautifully lighted scene are the stems of those plants that will complete the image when they arrive for prayer. The Jokhang Monestary is far more than a thousand years old and combines most magnificent ancient art and architecture with its relevance as the epicenter of the recent Tibetan Bhuddist protests.
