Great Travel Moment New to adventure traveling, I insisted that my husband plan a tour on our trip to India. Although we were struck by the vast cultural differences between India and North America, we experienced this as fish in a fishbowl, from the comfort of our hired car and personal driver. Although we were fascinated by the country, we were looking at it from a disconnected perspective. We did however make a personal connection with this beautiful family on there way to a special event. No words were spoken, but it was clear from each side that curiosity, pride and a personal connection were taking place. Amidst the chaos of Delhi traffic, despite our fishbowl, we felt a true cultural connection. |
