Great Travel Moment

On my first day in Zhongdian (Shangri-la) in the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China, I visited the Shonzanlin Monastery. The battery in my camera was dying, and I only had enough memory for one or two more shots when this young monk, on a break from school and prayer, started hamming it up for my camera! In such a solemn, introspective place high in the Himalayas, this boy reminded me to find joy and happiness in my day, no matter what my circumstances might be.
