Great Travel Moment A few summers ago my family and I went camping near Durango, Colorado. We were in a valley and so surrounded by mountains all day, stepping out of the tent in the morning and breathing the crisp air was so refreshing. One day we took a four-hour train ride through the mountains to a small town called Silverton. It was still dressed in the style of the olden days. The trip itself was truly breathtaking. We came exceedingly close to cliff faces and saw some amazing views. Being in the second from last carriage I was able to lean out the window and get pictures of the front of the train as we went around corners. The whole area we traveled through was deserted except for the plants and animals. This experience will stay with me forever and has inspired some of my art pieces. |
