Great Travel Moment In the summer of 2008 I spent three months backpacking around India. A lot of my trip was fast paced, challenging and confronting however this picture perfectly encapsulates a portion that was none of these things. For about five days I lazed around the beach paradise of Palolem in Goa. I slept in a hut and was lulled to sleep by the lapping tide of the Arabian Sea. I spent my days wandering up and down the beach and in the evenings I would head to one of the numerous bars, sip terrible Indian beer and mix with the other travelers. This is the part of my trip where I felt most like a tourist but now that I'm home it's also a memory I return to often when the pressure of the "real" world gets a little heavy. |
