Great Travel Moment My wife and I were visiting the island of Santorini for our honeymoon and participated in the daily ritual of watching the sunset in Oia. Many people gather every evening to watch the sun set, and it can be difficult to find the perfect spot to watch, as it fills up early and quickly. Random strangers sit or stand next to each other to participate in the exquisiteness as the sun drops below the water. This is a picture of an old castle on the end of the island where people lined up to watch. It was an amazing experience to see such a beautiful sunset, made even more incredible by the sense of community enjoying it with you. It truly left everyone speechless and moved all of us to applaud the wonder when the sun had disappeared. |
