Great Travel Moment

The image of an old man sitting by himself on a bench on the water, with his walker parked on the paved road, struck me deeply. You can just imagine the long life this man has led, left behind by friends and family, taking comfort in a daily habit out of walking down this path to the same bench. He leaves his walker on the paved road and travels the last few steps unaided on the sandy path. Then he sits on his bench for hours, staring out at the ocean, remembering times and people past.
