Great Travel Moment

Our wake-up call was 1:30am. Following our Bedouin guide, we trudged, bleary-eyed, up the camel path in pitch-blackness for three hours to reach the summit of Mt. Sinai . As the sun was beginning to peek over the mountain range, this woman asked me to take her photo with the sun rising in the background. Afterwards as she turned away I took another photo of her to capture her silhouette against the backdrop of mountain peaks and valleys. This is my favorite photo of our trip because it captures that moment of silent awe that we all collectively experienced as a group at the top of Mt. Sinai and the unspoiled beauty of the area.
