Great Travel Moment This photo was taken in the summer of 2007 when my brother and I went to hike Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. The day we woke up at our base camp (13,000 feet), we were in a cloud! After some hiking through boulders, we came to a ridge of rocks. On one side was the boulder field we came from, on the other was a thousand foot ledge to the valley below. It was a good thing we were in a cloud, becuase we couldn't see how big the drop was in the morning! After hiking for a couple of hours, we actually got above the cloud. Our heads just popped up and we could see other peaks in the distance with a blanket of white cloud between us. It was the most memorable experience ever! |
