Great Travel Moment

This picture was taken in a very small, remote village on the southern most tip of Vietnam. On our Vietnam adventure, my fiance and I were showered with smiles and most often a "peace sign", but the overwhelming love for life this group of children had, has made for a life long memory. On this warm, humid morning we were sitting at a small cafe, trying to communicate, but mostly laughing and giving hand gestures with the local village kids. The group of boys were particularly optimistic, and almost obsessed with the idea of "peace". This struck me as a bit odd, considering they were living in houses with dirt floors and woven wood for roofs. As we pulled away in a jam packed van full of locals that had come to pick us up, I snapped this photo. Now, one my most coveted photos, I look at it and can truly see hope, and more importantly, Hope in Youth.
