Great Travel Moment

There is a huge problem with waste disposal in India but never was outlined more for me than when I stepped behind a drink stand in Mapusa, a town in the Indian state of Goa. The row of drink vendors selling sweet lime and mango sodas with brightly colored straws hid a rainbow corridor of trash. Though confronting, the scene was almost jubilant in its hues giving a bizarre contrast to the deeper implications of what the depths of the problem might hold.
