Great Travel Moment This picture was taken with a cheap disposable underwater camera in the warm seas of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. After some minor color adjustments on my computer, it remains one of my favorite travel shots to date. Because I am filled with unfounded fears in the ocean, like being eaten by a shark, it was a challenge to juggle this little camera dangling from my wrist as I was convinced the reflectivity of the plastic housing made me an easy target for menacing giant barracuda. However, every time I revisit this photo, I don't see all my foolish worry and dread. Instead, I am instantly returned to the state of grace that is the fishes and to an underwater world where we are passing guests allowed only for fleeting moments to tag along. |

Great photo! Grace with a touch of caution...what lurks in those shadows! Enchanting color and great composition. A+
