Great Travel Moment I took this photo during my first trip to Hawaii, on Kauai. When I saw these trees, the road, the gate, I swerved over to photograph it. I had never seen this species of tree before, and later identified it as a Cook's pine, which apparently have been distributed around the world by explorers and botanists. It's one of the most beautiful species of trees I've ever seen, and this photograph is still one of my favorites. The road looks like it could lead anywhere, as though there are endless possibilities, and it's sort of haunting at the same time. |
