Great Travel Moment

Milford Sound was the place that inspired me and my husband to travel to New Zealand. After seeing a photo of the Fiord, I starting planning our trip. I took this photo from our tandem kayak as we were about to enter the Sound. Experiencing Milford Sound from a kayak was incredible because it helped us to realize the sheer size of the cliffs and waterfalls. We were also able to truly interact with nature. We heard fiordland crested penguins talking to each other as we paddled and enjoyed a large number of dolphins as they put on a show for us in the rain. I even made eye contact with one of them as they swam right under our kayak. My instinct to travel to this amazing place was right on as it was a truly life changing experience.
