Great Travel Moment

Hampi, India is one of the most enchanting places I have ever explored. Set amongst these jumbo rocks, and rice paddies, are ancient temples dating back to the 13th century. Hampi is in the state of Karnataka in southern India. After a day of hiking and site seeing, I was getting ready to cross this river to get back to my homestay when I came across these monks bathing and washing there robes. The sun was setting and the golden robes against the rocks glowed so brightly. It was a pow wow of sorts for these monks. A beautiful gathering at the end of the day. This moment captured, for me, a day in the life of the culture there. It was depicting a simple unadulterated existence.
