Great Travel Moment

This photo feels like soaring and flying to me, taken just at that heart stopping moment of crossing over into someplace completely new. We were in Kauai, Hawaii, and this is the NaPali coast. We'd waited a long time in a stuffy trailer at the Kauai airport for the helicopter to arrive. After much debate, we decided on the "open sides" option... no windows, no doors, no nothing except a shoulder harness to keep us from falling out. My husband was concerned that the kids were too young, and would be too scared to enjoy it. I still remember their shrieks of pure joy, amid the roar of the helicopter.
