Great Travel Moment In May of 2008 two sisters, with 55+ years of shared experiences, and their spouses took the trip of a lifetime to the Greek Islands. Because one sister has breast cancer that has metastasized to her liver, we toured with the collective hope that this idyllic trip will not be our last. As an extra assurance we lit candles in each open church, their images captured among those of incredible views and celebratory dinners. The Greek people, generous and joyful, made each experience a true celebration of life. The attached picture, seemingly a timeless exposure tracing the simple lines of a whitewashed chapel near the sea along the walking trail from Imerovigli to Oia on the Island of Santorini, brings us back to those long happy days when time and reality were indeed suspended. |
