Great Travel Moment

This photo was taken when our bus stopped at this small Tibetan roadside temple to give pray for our journey up the heavy climbing switchbacks of the Himalayan mountains in Northern India. My husband Jake is taking the photo while I am among the locals at the temple. This bus ride took us into the mighty Lahul and Spiti Valley just south of the Tibetan border where we spent a couple weeks exploring the tiny Tibet villages as if from another era. The prayer flags are a constant in Northern India and with each gust of wind the prayers are sent out into humanity for all to benefit from. This photo reminds me of the harsh environment with wild beauty and a soft people with bountiful kindness.
