Great Travel Moment

This photo was taken in Giza, home of the famous Pyramids and the Great Sphinx in the Land of the Sun, Egypt. This particular moment was so special because it was away from the tourist laden pathways leading up to the Sphinx and around the Pyramids. It was me, a painter's palate of scarves, and sun-kissed Egyptian relics that people from all corners of this Earth come to see. I still remember the warm air and wondering how many people had the felt this same sun against their face with completely different agendas. This photo has a much more personal connection for me as opposed to the postcards that are for sale on every corner of Cairo. This moment was given to me by the sun, the sand, the scarves and Egypt, and I will never forget it.
