Great Travel Moment

This photo was taken on the way to Lhasa. We stopped to stretch and this family came out of their home, curious about us. I asked to take their picture and the mother agreed with a nod, but when I showed her the image on the camera I wished I had another camera to record her reaction. I'm not sure she had ever seen an image of herself. I would love to have been able to give her a copy to keep. I imagine that having a picture of her children when they were little would have been special to her. Tibet was a beautiful country with abundant sunshine, clear wide rivers and handsome, dignified and gentle people. This picture evokes all the good memories for me of one of the most amazing places I have ever had the good fortune to visit.
