Great Travel Moment

The shallow waters made us think you could walk across the sea and up the volcano on the distant island. However, this is not the case. The boat ride from here to Bali crosses one of the deepest trenches in the world, so I was told. I shot this photo of my girlfriend Shannon on our trip to Indonesia last summer. Our friends who were traveling with us had left just a day earlier to return home to Hawai'i, and now, finally it was just her and I, on what could possibly be the most romantic place on earth. With scenery as pristine and serene as this on every side of the small island of Nusa Lembongan, we found ourselves encapsulated by a sense of adventure and relaxation rolled into one.
