Great Travel Moment

While exploring the city of Rome, we were having a tough time navigating the streets with our map. We were trying to find the Colosseum but kept getting lost and distracted by other interesting historic ruins that weren?t even in our tourist book. We couldn?t speak Italian, couldn?t understand the signs, and finally decided to just wander the streets and see what we would discover. We had to laugh at the silliness of not being able to find one of the most famous historic buildings in Rome! After hours of walking and enjoying the city sites, we turned a corner and our daughters, Kara and Sydney (age 10 and 11), squealed with delight as the Colosseum lay before us. Stumbling on the Colosseum was definitely a more awe-inspiring way to discover the incredible monument and it clearly took Sydney?s breath away!
