Great Travel Moment

Nothing beats a small town festival...where they close the streets of downtown and the smell of funnel cake and kettle corn fill the air. Many towns all over the country have them, but this photo was taken at a very special small town. My small hometown of Starke, Florida at the 2009 Strawberry Festival. An annual festival with plenty of sweet berries, the sweetest this side of heaven they say, and a few other treasures for the palette. This display of jewels and gems caught my eye and spoke the essence of any festival ? there is always a little something for everyone in the midst of the brick streets, spring air and small town hospitality.
