Great Travel Moment

My husband and I traveled to Egypt for a two week visit. I love all things Ancient Egyptian and have wanted to visit Egypt since childhood. My trip was made more spectacular because I experienced it with my husband, my best friend. We did not use an escorted tour, but traveled rather independently. We met contacts at each location, who handled our paperwork and arranged our individual visits to historical sites. In Aswan, we boarded our ship for a four night cruise down the Nile. We visited three different temples and traveled through the famous Esna locks. From Aswan to Luxor, the Nile River is not too wide and it's easy to view life along the river banks very easily. Everyday living was quite evident. Laundry calmly hung to dry on a line outside a house on the banks. It was a wonderful sight and nothing like anything I?ve seen at home in New Jersey.
