Great Travel Moment My husband and I traveled to Egypt for a two week visit. I love all things Ancient Egyptian and have wanted to visit Egypt since childhood. My trip was made more spectacular because I experienced it with my husband, my best friend. We did not use an escorted tour, but traveled rather independently. We met contacts at each location, who handled our paperwork and arranged our individual visits to historical sites. While we were in Luxor, we visited the west bank of the Nile River where royal tombs and mortuary temples are located. While there we visited Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Ramses III. It's a large temple with colorful wall art and columns. We had a great time exploring this temple. But alas one sad note...my husband lost his favorite baseball cap at this temple. We decided to consider it an offering to the Ancient Egyptian gods. |
