Great Travel Moment I arrived late in the afternoon at my lodge in Yosemite National Park and decided to go for a short hike to view the sunset. According to the park ranger, the best and closest place to catch the sunset was from the top of Lembert Dome, a 240 feet tall granite mountain. For some reason I could not find the beginning of the path and just started walking across small rocks and short grass into the direction I believed the path to be. However, I ended up hiking to the top of the dome without ever finding the path and actually ended up on a second mountaintop which no other hikers had climbed. I watched a wonderful sunset and luckily found the path reaching the bottom of the dome just before it was completely dark. |
