Great Travel Moment

This photo was taken at about 5:00AM on the Sahara. We had stayed up late drinking mint tea and whiskey with our nomad guides. There was no one common language in our little group, so we spent our time digging our toes in the warm sand and translating jokes over and over like Chinese whispers. We had to get up early the next morning to beat the heat, so we were groggy and grumpy. That is, until we witnessed the gorgeous sunrise that only the Sahara has to offer. Over a breakfast of mint tea and bread, we were able to witness sights like this one: our guide in a state of leisure, enjoying life and its simplicity.
