Great Travel Moment The stunning new Acropolis Museum in Athens GR, suggests that the ancient marbles were not white as most of us think. In the archaic section of the museum on the first floor there are plenty of statues, heads, horses etc where we can find traces of th eold pigments in the eyes, the hair, the clothing. This head seems to me with the dropping old black dye, like a picture of German expressionist painter in his blues. Isn't it haunting this look? |
