Great Travel Moment

Some say the Amalfi coast epitomizes la dolce vita, the sweet life. To me, this is a classic example. Strolling around town, I was passing by these steps when I noticed the store keeper hurry out and set these crates of citrus down. It were as if, at least in my wishful thinking, he had acted on cue, knowing I would pass by and want to take this impromptu picture. As an American, I was mystified. Why would he deposit the crates halfway across the steps, where people could trip over them? The liability! Then the logic became quite clear. If one were not seduced by the signs, and the attractive colors around the store, one would certainly pause at the crates when walking up or down the steps, and surely consider a purchase. One with any sense, that is.....
