Great Travel Moment My sister and I were walking on a beach in Northern Australia when we noticed the whole beach was covered in these little sand balls. We had no idea what they were, but we thought it might be some exotic animal or natural phenomenon causing this so we took a picture. A little while later a tour group was walking down the beach so we trailed behind so we could hear the information the guide was sharing. He finally came to the mysterious sand balls and we laughed when we heard the explanation. They were made by a crab rolling the sand out of his hole as he dug his home. This continues to be a joke between us as we reminisce about our adventures in Australia. |
