Great Travel Moment I met this tall friend during a game drive through Chobe National Park in Botswana. I will always remember this moment; we had been driving for hours through the park, craning our necks to catch a glimpse of anything large, alive and wild. We rounded a corner and there she was! Right on the side of the road, so close that I could see her eyelashes! There were two young adult male giraffes in close proximity to her. We watched in wonder as the males ?sparred? with one another; they would face opposite directions and stand flank to flank. Then they would crane their necks and swing them to strike each other! It was breathtaking to watch these beautiful animals practice self-defense! |
