Great Travel Moment

This bright smile says it all. We'd long been awaiting our return to Mexico, this time via a cruise, and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. The hot sun called for shades and lots of sunscreen, but the sea was refreshing and the beachfront hammock simply a bonus. Daughter indulged in a self-portrait to mark the day. This day, and the whole trip, sticks with me in a melancholy way. The kids are growing, finances are insecure, life throws curveballs?how many family vacations do we have left? Ten? Four? One? ?Make it count,? a voice in my head says. So we indulged. Silly souvenirs, a child (and an adult) buried in the sand, too much rich food. Was it worth it? Already I know, we?ll remember this trip always.
