Great Travel Moment My wife and I had just checked into the Tiskita Lodge in southern Costa Rica. Upon presentation of our cabin, we were introduced to our resident bat. Apparently he spent the days hanging around outside our front door, and the nights flying around eating insects. My wife wasn't crazy with the idea at first, but quickly warmed up to our new friend. One morning, the bat had not returned from his nightly activities, and my wife spent her morning worrying. When it returned later that day, she was relieved. I guess maternal instincts extends to other species. |
